This quilt was made from Blanche Young and Darlene Stone's book Tradition With a Twist. Although I initially made it as a sample top for my Blooming Nine-Patch class (from the book), it was also a personal challenge to use fabric color and design to move from one color to another. The blocks are strip-pieced 9-patches and 1-patches set on point. Mostly it was just pure fun picking out the fabrics and seeing the color transition emerge as the rows were sewn together. Machine pieced and quilted.
