The lemonade quilt began as leftovers from the creation of ONE friendship block. Never having been a few fabric quilt person, I felt the need for some choices to make this ONE block. After completing my 12-inch wonder, there was strewn upon my floor a lovely, huge pile of lonely pink and yellow strips just singing out how when life gives you lemons make...nine-patch blocks. This optimistic quilt is for a very dear friend in Houston who lost her husband in June. I can think of no better home for it. Machine pieced and quilted.
