"The Way We Were" by Martha Turner
This quilt commemorates my childhood. The family call was Ho Ho Ho Hooo (from Beethoven's 5th). My older sister was athletic, my younger sister very social with lots of friends, whereas I spent more of my time in an old armchair reading. We made and consumed massive amounts of applesauce, went camping frequently, enjoyed canoeing until we tipped, skied, practiced a lot of piano, read books, identified birds, flowers, trees, and stars. We vacationed on Cape Cod and chased the shore birds. And that's not all, but I've used up my quota of words, or I'd tell you more.
