This pattern is originally called Granny's Hankie by the designer, Denise Russart. I worked on this at the hospital bedside of my mother-in-law, not knowing that within the week she would die. She admired the floral designs so I finished the quilt and named it 'Bouquets for Catharine' in her honor. It is my first applique project and I discovered as I worked through the blocks that I enjoy applique. I'm keeping this one for my own bedroom.
