Comments
My main quilting focus, at present, seems to be combining hand applique with pieced blocks. I also am enamored with red quilts; I think this may be the 6th or so red/beige or otherwise red quilt that I've created. I don't even have red furnishings in my house, but I am drawn to the vibrancy of red quilts and so keep making them. I think I have more in my future as I have a large stash of red fabrics, and keep buying more reds whenever I see them. On this particular quilt, I used 100 weight YLI silk thread to quilt it and discovered that it quilts like a knife going through butter; my machine just loves it. It is the most amazing thread to quilt with and I think it makes a beautiful result.
