Sashiko stitching has interested me for many years, and the balance that many types of Asian artwork achieve without having mirror imaging. This quilt is for me, for my house, so I can see it daily. The Kitty Pippen pattern is called Linked Shapes from her book ‘Quilting with Japanese Fabrics’.
