I made this quilt to express my great appreciation for my daughter’s Kindergarten teacher, Mrs. "D." Each of the 48 blocks represents a subject(s) the class learned. I traced each child's hands and made a copy of their signature. Mrs. "D" called her class the Shining Stars and it is written in Sign Language; another gift she taught the children. This was my first try at long-arm quilting. Block map enclosed.
