This commemorative quilt tells, in pictures and messages, the story of the Lower Colorado River Authority serving the people of Texas. The February 19, 2010, date marks LCRA's 75th anniversary.
The quilt features 54 historical and present-day photos of LCRA activities and employees; past and current LCRA logos; and messages from former governors Mark White and George W. Bush, former LCRA general managers Mark Rose and Joe Beal, Luci Baines Johnson (daughter of Lyndon B. Johnson, a key LCRA supporter), Governor Rick Perry, and LCRA General Manager Tom Mason.
The 7-by-12-foot quilt is made from 100 percent archival-quality cotton.
