My daughter and I have traveled around the world. I always took handwork with me. In 2004, to celebrate my 80th birthday, we traveled to Europe, the Caribbean, South America and Africa, and this quilt was always with me. Most of the various threads were purchased in Germany. When I look at this quilt, I am reminded of the fun of quilting and traveling.
