I made this quilt for Chris and Marcie Herrington as a wedding present. Their personalities seemed very different to me and I used the yin and yang symbol to represent the contrasts that they were bringing to the marriage. Chris works with me doing water quality data analysis - notice the quilted water, and Chris sitting in front of his computer with water quality parameters listed all around. Marcie is into Oriental medicine and Yoga and eating healthfully - see the oriental fabric, the yoga practitioner, and the quilted veggies from their garden.
