While living in Mexico for a year, my sister and I decided to make this appliqué quilt. We didn't finish it before I was due to return to the States so whenever she came to visit me or I would visit her in Mexico we would work on it, hence the name of the quilt. After 6 years of going back and forth between Mexico and United States the quilt top was completed, and I was able to quilt it for this show. As for who gets to keep it, we haven't decided yet!!
