While sitting at a booth at a fine art show this fall I was lucky enough to be next to LaTreace Giles a wonderful photographer. I fell in love with a photo that she took in Greece of a passage that was used for hundreds of years by pedestrians and sheep herders with their flocks. The photo is in muted shades of tans, browns, grays and blacks but the light that was streaming in through the right side of the photo was bright and powerful almost blinding. I knew that I wanted to reproduce this piece but in color, lively vibrant color resembling life's journey. Though we all experience the dark times there is always light at the end of the tunnel and though we cycle through this journey often more than once in a life time we find our way through the dark times and reveal in the light. If you will note the journey in Passages is blocked at the end with a rock wall which has a hole at the top where in my depiction of Passages we have had to climb and push through the dark to find the light everyday in all of us.
