I was inspired to make the Wildflower Lone Star by the spectacular display of wildflowers in Central Texas in the Spring of 2007. In June 2007, our Austin Area Quilt Guild offered the Gift of Quilting classes. I took the Lone Star Variation class from Kay Wentzel. The fantastic floral displays in Central Texas, the class, and the lovely fabrics came together in this quilt. I completed the quilt in July 2008.
