Julie and James were married on April 30, 2005. Julie loves purple, so the entire wedding was planned around a purple theme, except for the groom’s cake. James is from St. Louis and had to have a cardinal cake on behalf of his favorite baseball team. Months before the wedding, as I nursed a broken leg that kept me housebound, we beaded her wedding dress with over 7,000 glass beads. You can see a few of these beads on the green ribbon. This quilt celebrates their marriage and the beautiful wedding that united them.
