This wallhanging is an expression of a fulfilled dream of traveling to China and interacting with Chinese artists. This was achieved with the help of AAQG members’ response to an "I'll Trade Ya'll " Challenge to make Texana-themed Artist Trading Cards (ATCs). Along with the over 200 ATCs I made, all were shared in each city as part of a cultural gift exchange. To complete the connection between surface designers in both Texas and China, I made the Chinese ATCs. Its my hope this design demonstrates the Confucian quote: "Is it not a delight that friends should visit afar?"
