The first of these 4-patch blocks were made by my sister and me when we were about 9 and 10 years old. (You should have seen our beginning stitches!) The prints in the 4-patches are from the 1920s through the early 1960s. Many of the prints are reminders of dresses my sister and I had through the years. I made many more 4-patches and made both my sister and me a quilt (both are alike) as a rememberance of our younger years. Machine and hand pieced, hand quilted.
