Last year I found myself in circumstances in which I would need to sit and wait for extended periods of time. This quilt began as a simple hand project to keep me occupied. However, when I started with Carmen's head, I had no idea just how busy her veranda would become during the course of that year. Machine pieced, hand appliquéd, hand and machine quilted.
