Second Nature, is the sixth quilt in a series of group quilts produced by the Art Quilt Bee. For each quilt we explore a given theme and color palette. This quilt is the second quilt exploring plant forms and the first to use long vertical blocks. Starting with a base color palette of hand dyed fabrics each participant was asked to create one or more quilted strips incorporating the plant theme. The finished strips are brought together and arranged into a pleasing layout and sewn together.
