In the book “Quilts from the Civil War” by Barbara Brackman, I found inspiration for a quilt using my collection of Civil War fabrics. The center pattern might be called Feathered Star, but at least two quilts from that period referred to it as a Jackson Star, probably named for President Andrew Jackson.
