This quilt is on the cover of a book called “Divide and Conquer”, by Nancy Smith and Lynda Milligan. I designed some of the flowers and leaves and ironed them on with Steam-A-Seam 2. They were then machine appliquéd with a buttonhole stitch. Since I knew I wanted a flying geese border, I made a set of 4 geese using the Corner Cutter Method (my invention) every time I made a block. It was quilted by hand and machine in 2 large sections, then the borders were added. The big stitch was used for speed and decoration.
