I wanted to experiment with gridwork on a slant. After playing around with placement schemes I played off of the floral elements in the fabric to come up with a pattern that resembled a trellis that fades off as you look down diagonally. I've also been practicing partial seams, so it was a challenge to bring the main four pieces together around the central block in the middle of the large diagonals.
