I have always loved a challenge in quilting, but this is one I could have done without. I make a practice block when starting a new quilt to prevent issues, but the cutting measurements in the pattern made it very difficult to make the block yield a perfect "floating star". After of 2 weeks of working on the problem, I have now perfected this block. All points are perfectly matched. Perseverance and Math always prevail in quilting. The Stars were NOT paper-pieced. I made this quilt to celebrate our upcoming 18th wedding anniversary.
