Carolyn and Kay took a class from Paula Barnes using the Victory Star pattern from Bonnie Blue Quilts to challenge ourselves. That certainly turned out to be the case. We wrestled with accurate piecing and blocks finishing at the right measurements. Once the quilt top was completed, Helen took on the challenging task of machine quilting the quilt in the style of a reproduction quilt between 1850 and 1880. Helen spent many hours quilting and consulting with Kay to get the desired effect. Although it proved to be a challenge for all of us, we are pleased with the result.
