The Guild offered a course by Lola Jenkins this past year who taught us an interesting art quilting technique. Basically, you take fabric with a scene or novelty print on it and cut all the elements apart. Then you recreate a totally different scene by using a glue stick to reattach the pieces you want into a new configuration. You would be surprised what prints and materials can be used for landscaping elements. Embellishments can be added, and a variety of threads can help you paint the scene.
