I saw the original quilt four times as large several years ago out in New Mexico. I bought the pattern and put it on my 'To Make Sometime' shelf. Earlier this year I was designing a birthday quilt for a friend and wanted to add an unusual border. Remembering this pattern, I actually started making this quilt to practice bias square applications in borders, using my scrap fabrics. I enjoyed it so much that after completing the birthday quilt, I designed a border to make this into a wall hanging.
