I was inspired to make this quilt when I saw a sample hanging at the Houston International Quilt Festival. I was also motivated to make a quilt that would fill an empty wall in my living room; but the motivation to stitch together those 520 bias-edged diamonds had to come from a much deeper place within. There is a question mark in the title of this quilt because I don't know how it ended up resembling a star; and an exclamation mark because I actually finished the thing and surprisingly it DID end up looking like it was supposed to.
