This yo-yo coverlet was inspired by a cross stitch design I saw in one of the Australian needlework magazines. I'm sorry to say that the exact source reference was lost to me when my computer died a few months ago. I modified the design to make it more suited to being made of yo-yo's. There are more than 7,200 1.25-inch yo-yo's. They look like smaller squares, but they really are round yo-yo's sewn together with 8-10 whip stitches per side. I cut the circles several layers at a time with scissors and made all the yo-yo's by hand the old-fashioned traditional way. No plastic was involved in the creation of these yo-yo's!
