This quilt was made for my niece, Kay Ilene Walden, for Christmas 2009 and for her graduation from A&M Consolidated High School in May 2010. Her grandmother, Kay, and I made the blocks along with the Blockettes Bee. The design was done in EQ6. The blocks were placed without serious thought as to colors and fabrics and is a reminder to all of us not to spend too much time worrying about what goes where or whether we are doing it "right." Remember the lyrics from the musical "Wicked."
It's time to trust my instincts
Close my eyes; and leap!
It's time to try Defying Gravity.
