This quilt pictures my favorite place to vacation and relax. It is based on a photograph I took of the kitchen window in a centuries-old house overlooking Cape Cod Bay, where we have often stayed. It brings back memories of the tastes and wonderful clear light. The pieced border and the shadowed vintage print on the table pay homage to visitors who must have stayed there in years gone by. I long to, once again, stand in that spot, hearing the fog horns in the distance.
