Comments
One of my favorite quilting techniques is hand appliqué. I saw this quilt kit and purchased it without hesitation. The pieced background of the appliqué block appealed to me, for the added interest. I made some of the berries using plastic doll eyes. YoYo's were taken a step further by making flower petals and Colonial knots for centers. Embellishments are also my favorite hand work and this quilt put my creativity to work. It was most enjoyable to make.
Techniques
Hand Appliqué, Machine Piecing, Machine Quilting, Embellishment (Yoyo flowers, Colony Knots, embroidered vines and leaves), Covered doll eyes
