I love to appliqué and thoroughly enjoyed making these blocks. Jane Townswick has a unique method of appliqué in that she appliqués the inner portions of a multi-piece object first, leaving the complete outer edge to stitch to the background fabric. This creates a smoother edge to the completed unit. I think the Irish Chain setting compliments the appliquéd blocks. Beautifully machine quilted by Richard Larson, Plano, Texas.
