The beige polished cotton background fabric was purchased in the 1980's while I was living in Manchester, CT. The pattern was obtained from a "Round Robin" that I participated in while living in Huntington Beach, CA in 1987. The various fabric scraps came from a fabric exchange in the early 1990's from the Plano, TX Quilt Guild. The backing was purchased in 1995 in Canton, TX. The top was completed in 1997 in Plano, TX and the quilt was layered, basted and quilting started in Fernandina Beach, FL in 1998. It was finished in August, 2008 in Bee Cave, TX. This quilt has watched world series games, football games and boring movies with me. It has comforted me after my Mother's death and accompanied me to numerous small group meetings. It has always been there for me as a true friend; ever patient, comforting and steadfast. What will I do now that you are finished?
