My first quilt was a small cathedral window. I found this embellished material at textile market, and it took 1 1/2 years to decide how to use it. After many attempts, I made a cathedral window pattern that "worked". I combined the velvet with crepe back satin for texture and color and made a bedspread, shams and pillows.
