I have always felt a "thrill" when I see an appliquéd quilt, and a very kind lady in my Bee gave me some appliqué books. One was How to Design a Baltimore Album Quilt. My 15- year-old daughter looked at the book and was very excited too by the quilts, and asked me to make her one, so this is my practice quilt for an album quilt for her. It took longer to make than I thought, and I found myself finishing it the week of our 20th Wedding Anniversary, so it is dedicated to my dear husband, who is so fascinated by my ability to make these quilts. I have never embroidered or beaded either, so practiced a little of each to see how it turned out.
