Comments
When the time came to name this quilt I was focused on the dominant blue colors. Rhapsody in Blue came to mind and ear, as my daughter had been playing the song "Rhapsody in Blue". I chose this pattern initially for the piecing challenge (bias rectangles) and for the illusion of curves. Secondly, the pattern seemed to lend itself to a limited palette and to pieced borders. These were new challenges. I had to continually resist the urge to add more and more fabrics. Many lessons were learned making this quilt but it always remained a pleasure to work on.
