My "Bubble Garden" quilt was created after taking an online course with Dena Crain. I loved her technique of borrowed shapes sewn back into the main quilt body with no seam allowance. Through my stitching, I kept getting the feeling of a happy garden with lots of bright colors. When I got to the finishing stages, I chose to stitch flowers around each bubble to enhance the feeling of a cheerful spring day. Though I had originally begun this design as a practice piece, it "blossomed" into a piece I really love!
