I fell in love with this bright, happy kit, but couldn't just follow the directions! Since it is a picnic quilt, I rummaged through my fabrics until I found some ants! Then I kept finding more reds, greens, and neutrals that demanded to be included, making it even scrappier. I had now doubled the number of fabrics from the original kit. Of course that wasn't enough for me. I decided to ink stamp the seeds randomly rather than appliqué them as the kit instructed (so much faster, but definitely messy). A fun quilt!
