Comments
Another friend, Chris Watkins, and I saw Kaffe Fassett's Hatbox quilt in Houston and for Christmas she gave me his book, "Passionate Patchwork". Connie and I were excited about the quilt since I have numerous old handkerchiefs which we envisioned spilling out of the boxes. -- Jeanetta When Jeanetta and I discussed making this quilt, we thought we could have to make the hat boxes 3-dimensional. Originally, I used a Quilters Dream Poly and decided it didn't have enough loft without trapunto. I switched to Quilters Dream Poly Puff for extra loft in the unstitched areas. It gave us the look we wanted. -- Connie
