I love snowmen! This was the first quilt I made completely on my own and my first attempt at machine appliqué. I used monofilament nylon thread for the quilting and have not been satisfied with it. All of my quilts since then have been quilted with cotton thread. I like the look and feel of the cotton thread and how it blends with the fabric. This was a pattern on the cover of the "McCall's Quilting" magazine in January 2001. I have only recently taken out some of the monofilament and re-quilted with cotton thread around the snowmen. I still love snowmen!!
