I live in Texas, the Lone Star State, and it's warm, but that is not the reason for the name of this quilt. It also gets cold on occasion and when it does, this quilt hangs over our sliding glass door and helps keep us warm.
Inspiration and techniques; Jan Krentz's book "Lone Star Quilts & Beyond". Adapted from the pattern "New Beginning/Expanding Friendships" by Carol Abbott. Some appliqué and quilting patterns from Southwest Decorative and Kokopelli Quilting Company. Machine pieced and quilted, hand appliquéd. 2006
