After many years of quiltmaking, my leftover stash was getting out of hand, and I had to do something with it to make room for more fabrics. When I saw Lori Smith's quilt sampler, From My Heart to Your Hands, I knew that it would be great to use up some of my scraps. There are 83 blocks in this quilt, each a different block pattern. I enjoyed making this quilt, not only to use up some of my stash, but it also provided a wonderful opportunity to explore and create different blocks. I selected blues, dark reds, and beige fabrics. I arranged the fabrics on a spare bed, and when it was time to choose the fabric for a block, I pretended I was in a fabric shop.
